I was reading CNN today and saw that they finally solved the murder of Adam Walsh. He was the 6 year old son of John Walsh, who is known for being the host of America's Most Wanted. Adam disappeared while shopping with his mother in a Sears Dept store in 1981. Two weeks after his disappearance, his head was found in a canal 120 miles away. The rest of his body was never found.

Ottis Toole, who died in prison in 1996 on unrelated charges, was a suspect from the beginning. He even confessed twice to killing Adam, and then later recanted his story. His story was questioned because he confessed to several other murders that the police knew he didn't commit. He did however, show police the exact spot where the boy was last seen, and lead police to the canal where his head was found. They couldn't however find the body where he said it was. A piece of evidence was lost also, a bloody piece of carpet, which was lost before DNA testing was available.

Last year a new police chief, Chad Wagner, took over in Hollywood, Fl and vowed to get this cold case solved. He assigned a retired officer to review the case, and was able to place Toole in Hollywood at the time of Adam's murder. We still don't know if any new evidence was introduced, but police are closing the case, saying that Toole is guilty of murder.

John Walsh helped to get the federal Missing Children's Assistance Act of 1984 passed, which lead to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

My thoughts and prayers go out to the Walsh family. Adam can now rest in peace.

So I haven't posted for awhile. I have been without internet for 1,2,3,4,5 days. 5 Days!!! I was just about to the brink of insanity when I finally got it back today...lol! Thank goodness. I have been fidgety all weekend, it's like going through withdrawals or something..lol! I am back online now though, and all is good!!! Do you know what the bonus of having no internet is......a clean house!!! LOL!!
