Why do carbs have to be so delicious? They are one of my biggest weaknesses. I think I've finally come to the conclusion though, that I may love them, but they don't love me back. The extra pounds on my hips, stomach, butt and thighs is all the proof I need of that.
I have such strong carb and sweet cravings that I think I might have to cut them out of my diet for a while to get over them, or at least cut back drastically. I did find this product on the internet called Solo Slim that is supposed to help with carb cravings, so that might be an option if I can't do it by myself. I can guarantee that I am going to be one cranky, irritable woman...lol! Wish me luck, and say a little prayer for my husband..he's going to need it...LOL!
My car that is... I have always said when I got my own car I would keep it clean...hahahaha...yeah right...that hasn't happened at all. My car is filled with wrappers, bottles, toys, plain ole garbage, dirt, rocks, dust, clothes, books, and even various kitchen items...lol!
I'm thinking that as a reward for getting it all cleaned up and sparkly new. I'm going to get a few new auto accessories for it. I'm thinking maybe some new floor mats and some cool window decals. So I have a big chore ahead of me this week. I think I might try to enlist the help of my 5 year old...lol! She thinks doing the dishes is fun, so I'm sure she'll think cleaning the car is a blast...lol!
At the US Open semi-finals last night Serena Williams got a little mad, ok actually she got a lot mad...lol! She was given a foot fault by a line judge and apparently she didn't like that too much, so she went off on the judge....saying something along the lines of "I swear to God, I'm going to take this f@#$king ball and shove it down your f!@#king throat."
Whew! I wouldn't want her mad at me, cause damn she's big and buff...lol! In the end, because of her rant she was given another penalty that caused her to lose the game...
So this weekend was a good weekend for movies and TV. We watched Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure and Lethal Weapon 3 yesterday. The are both oldies, but goodies. We indulged in one of our guilty pleasures, the kids show iCarly on Nickelodeon. I know its a kids show, but I love it....and I'm not afraid to admit it..lol! Its funny, silly, and always a good time to watch.
I love having cable, but am not loving the price. I think after the new year, and our contract is up....I will be looking for something different, maybe bell tv. There has to be something better price wise and I'm thinking satellite is the way to go...we should of done that the first time...oh well....live and learn..LOL!
Until then, we'll continue to watch our favorite old movies and indulge in some silly kids shows..lol!

One of things I love most about technology and the internet is finding old friends and making new friends. I have made many new friends, friends that I would of never met if it wasn't for the internet. All of them in different states than me. I have also caught up with many old friends, mostly classmates from school. I live in a very small town...so a lot of my classmates have moved to different cities....a lot of them to different states. I have one friend that I found on facebook that moved to New York, another to Florida, one moved to New Jersey, has a nice family, and she works for a orange nj dentist and has a great life. If it wasn't for the internet I would of never known any of that. I just think that its pretty neat.
I'm sure you have all heard about the girl, now woman, Jaycee Lee Dugard,29, that was found, alive, 18 years after she was abducted in front of her stepfather. She was only 11 when she was taken. That poor girl has been through hell and back. Not only was she held captive in a hellish tent compound in a secret backyard...she had to give birth to 2 children...in the backyard! They were of course her captors children too...ugh!! This story seriously makes me want to vomit, it makes me so sick.
To be held against your will for that long....her strength and will to live, probably for her children....must have been tremendous. Their living conditions were horrendous, filthy and cramped. From what I understand though, Jaycee taught both girls to read and write, with the limited education she had. Both of her daughters... I guess are very bright young girls.
Phillip Garrido and his wife Nancy were both arrested, and are currently being charged with 29 felonies, including rape and kidnapping. They have both pleaded not guilty.
My thoughts and prayers go out to Jaycee and her daughters. May you find peace and comfort in the years to come.
