I was on my way to pick up my daughter from school today when I heard the fire sirens go off. I was quickly met on the road by people on their way to the fire dept to help with the fire. I of course went on my way to the school, picked up my daughter and headed to the bank atm ....well to my surprise the firetrucks were right in town....one of our local businesses was on fire....I thought for sure it was probably a house fire like normal. I hope they have some business insurance or something to cover the damages because they looked like there would definitely be some. Luckily its been really raining for a week....that might of helped some..I hope anyway.
Speaking of rain.....it can stop raining anytime now!!!!!!!!!! Anytime!!!

Ok...so yesterday I almost had a very embarrassing moment. I was looking at pumpkins...trying to decide whether or not to by the deformed looking ones I was looking at, or go to a different store...and my coat caught on a cardboard display and almost brought a very big thing of potatoes crashing to the floor. Thankfully I caught it in time and nothing happened. I would of been so embarrassed...lol! I could just picture myself standing there in the middle of a huge pile of potatoes..lol!
It wouldn't be the most embarrassing thing to happen to me, but I certainly don't need to add another thing to my list. So any embarrassing moments you would like to share? I promise I won't tell..lol!

in Playboy!!!!!!!!! How scandalous! LOL! Personally I love it. I think its hilarious, but that's just me. I'm sure there will be people that think its horrible and such....but I don't really care. I say Go Marge!!!

Last night I slept really good. I was dead to the world. Which was nice because usually I can't sleep at all. I toss and turn and wake up constantly, and am just so tired in the morning. If I don't start sleeping better I'm going to have to get some eye cream for dark circles. They are really bad. My can't-live-without makeup item is definitely my cover-up. I never ever go out of the house without putting some on. I wouldn't want to scare anyone...lol! Well, on second thought....It is almost Halloween..lol! Maybe that should be my costume...a tired mom. I wear that costume everyday..lol!
There is no nice way of putting that. It snowed last weekend and I still can't believe it...lol! I think I'm in denial. I seriously need to hire some long distance movers and head to Florida. Say goodbye to the cold, snow, winter coats, shovels, snowplows...and say hello to sun, fun, the beach, shorts, and the warm air. Sounds good to me....lol!
My brother keeps telling me I need to move down to where he lives in Alabama. My in-laws actually live there too. Every year I think its getting harder and harder to resist. A few more years and I will be hiring those movers....lol!
Well I think I'm going to go get a cup of hot cocoa and warm up a little bit....
Have you heard about this? Omg...what a bunch of crazies. Here is the link for those of you who haven't heard about it. It was all over the news..."Six year old boy floats away in homemade balloon!" Turns out the six year old boy was hiding in a box in his attic the whole time. He was never in the balloon at all. It was a crazy stunt put together by his crazy parents...who apparently are storm chasers trying to get there own reality show....yeah I don't think that's gonna happen now...lol! Which is funny because they are gonna need the money. They are going to need a good attorney...and they will probably have to pay back the money it cost for all the search crews and such for the whole ordeal...CRAZY!!!

I have to admit...they are not good thoughts..LOL! Winter is cold, windy, a pain to drive in, uncomfortable(winter coats and such), and messy. You have to start your car at least 15 minutes before you want to leave. Not to mention brush all the snow off the car...good exercise, but a pain.
Those are a few of the reasons that I wish we had a garage. A garage would be wonderful. I wouldn't have to clean the car off in the morning....I could go out to the car without wading through snow. There would be a lot less mess getting tracked into the house. It wouldn't have to be a huge garage , just a garage...maybe some nice garage flooring, but nothing fancy. It's definitely on my wish list now that I sit down and think about it..lol!
I'll just tell dh that I want him to have his own space for tools and such...he'll like that! Ahhh...my plan is coming together wonderfully...LOL!
From that last video, that is...LOL! I still can't believe that. I am thinking that it must of been a boil and not just a regular pimple. I've seen some bad pimples in my day, but that was just huge! I watched that video and was grossed out and amazed all in one..LOL! That guy definitely could of used some kind of acne treatment or something. So, please people...if you are growing a pimple the size of a grapefruit on your back...GET HELP!!! I also love how he apparently had to drink 3 beers, better known as liquid courage, before he would let her touch it..LOL! Sooooo.....did you watch it? Did you make it all the way through? LOL!

So the other night we took a trip to the emergency room with my 6 year old daughter. Turns out she had croup. I had never heard a croup cough....turns out it is as bad as they say it its. I have never heard her cough like that, it was horrible....I felt so bad for her.
So we were in and out of the ER very quick.....probably less than 30 minutes. Which has to be some kind of world record or something..lol! Usually we are there for hours, at least 2 or 3! I guess it helped that it was in the middle of night.
I'm sure the insurance company won't care though...they'll still send me a bill...lol! I seriously need to look into a new insurance company. Ours is pretty pricey. My friend has Blue Cross NC and she seems to like it. We have one of the other big name companies, and are not too happy with them. I guess I need to look into them one of these days. Sooner rather than later..lol!
We were riding around town today, just running some errands and stuff. Had to go to Kmart, the grocery store, and a couple other odd places. It is getting pretty chilly outside now. Its been in the 50's all week. The kids don't seem to mind at all. They are more than happy to run around outside and act like its still 70 or 80 degrees out there. Its not just my kids either...the neighbor kids are out there running around and going up and down their skateboard ramps. I'm sure it keeps them warm, but some of them don't even wear jackets...brrrrr...
I am not looking forward to winter at all. I dread seeing that first flake of snow. Makes me wish I could hibernate all winter....lol! So, do you guys look forward to winter? If so, why?
I made chili and cornbread tonight. It was delicious, but omg.....I have heartburn so bad right now. I also have no Tums in the house!!!! Which is just absolute torture...lol! I'm thinking I might of added just a wee bit too much chili powder to the chili. Don't get me wrong...it was good....just super hot. I'm not a sissy when it comes to hot stuff either...lol! I'm thinking that next time I'll be a little more careful when I'm pouring it in.
It amazes me how something so good can make you feel horrible afterwards. I'm sure there are a lot of things like that, if you really think about it. Right now, for me, its chili though..lol! I think a big glass of milk is in my future...LOL!
