Small towns are great. My boyfriend recently moved from a very large city to my very small town. It's been a couple months, but he's starting to adjust. Some of the things he misses though are the lack of things to do... no theater, not very many bars, no mall. There is also a big lack of restaurants to choose from. We have just a handful, while he's used to having a handful just on one street.

I'm not sure if we will live here forever in this small town, but right now because of my children we are. I want them to have a nice and safe community to live in. I will definitely consider other options though when they are grown. I would love to move farther south and out of the winter some day. I would love to step outside in January and not have to have arctic weather gear on. lol.

I've looked at some different places, some in Florida and Alabama, we have family in both those places. I also found some very nice
Charleston SC Homes that would be far enough south for me. I have a great friend that lives in Kansas. While I'm not crazy about the Wizard of Oz reference, Kansas wouldn't be bad either. I'm definitely going to keep my options open when the time comes. Where would you like to live when you settle down and retire?
