Today has been a pretty good day so far. First of all I slept ALL night long. I didn't wake up once. After being sick and up half the night for the past 4 days, just sleeping through the night was glorious. The kids weren't too bad getting up and getting ready for school. My mom hasn't nagged me about anything yet, so YES it's a good day. In about 2 hours I'll be heading up to meet my daughter's class at the community pool. That should be a hectic and fun ordeal...lol. After that I'm coming home to order some oak switch plates and get a ton of cleaning done hopefully. My fingers are crossed on that one, because the cleaning fairy forgot to stop while I was sick...lol!
If you have not already seen Gotye's video for "Somebody that I Used to Know" featuring Kimbra.... Watch it NOW. I have literally been listening to this song on repeat for the last week. It is absolutely addicting. The video is a bit strange and very artsy, which I adore. It's just a very catchy song. I'm also convinced that Gotye is the love child of Sting, Phil Collins, and Peter Gabriel..LOL! He would also make a good Joker or vampire... He has an awesome set of teeth..hahaha!

I bought my first home about five years ago now, right in the middle of the housing boom. Now I would like to sell my house because I no longer want to live in that area of town but no dice. No one else wants to live in that area of town either! The good news is I have been very fortunate to find renters that have lived there for the past three years and they have been very good. I am secretly hoping they will want to buy it from me eventually. This all brings me to the show My First Place. I like to watch this show because I enjoy how naive people are about how much a house costs and all the things that go in to it. My favorite part is at the beginning when the host shows the people the kind of houses they are looking for and then she drops the bomb on them that they are way over their budget. And reality quickly sets in. Check out your DIRECT TV guide to find out when My First Place comes on in your area.
